The City of Ottawa says the Grey Cup will be played in the nation’s capital in 2017.

While there has been plenty of speculation that the CFL’s championship game is coming Ottawa next year to coincide with celebrations surrounding Canada’s 150th birthday, there has been no official announcement from the league or the team. A “historic announcement” is set for just before tomorrow’s Redblacks game against the Toronto Argonauts but it would appear that the city of Ottawa has scooped everyone…
