Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray will miss the next three to six weeks with a sprained medial collateral ligament.
Ray injured his left knee during the fourth quarter of Monday night’s 30-17 win over the Montreal Alouettes at BMO Field.
Ray left at 10:16 of the fourth quarter and didn’t return after Montreal defensive lineman Vaughn Martin rolled into his knee.
Toronto head coach Scott Milanovich said Monday night that Logan Kilgore would start under centre if Ray had to miss time with the injury.
The Argos are 3-2, tied for second in the East Division with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. They next play on Sunday against the Redblacks in Ottawa.
