Day three of Ticats practice, their last before travelling to Edmonton and taking on the Eskimos on Saturday evening. Here’s what you need to know:
• centre Mike Filer isn’t practicing for a third straight day and is still in a walking boot. That means it’s virtually certain that he’s out versus the Esks and that Mathieu Girard will make his first start. I would expect that Landon Rice will be a part of the game-day roster (he’s been scratched the last few weeks) as additional insurance.
• halfback Johnny Sears, who missed Tuesday’s session is back practicing with the first team defence.
• guard Pete Dyakowski, who missed Wednesday’s practice due to the birth of his first child, is back at his normal spot at left guard. The up and coming Brandon Revenberg was there yesterday.
I had to skip practice today but I think it was worth it! Say hello to Louise Dyakowski, our 7lbs 9oz bundle of joy! pic.twitter.com/laWImrrfFV
