Hamilton Tiger-Cats release DL Kobe Jones

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have released American defensive lineman Kobe Jones.

The six-foot-three, 255-pound defender dressed for six games with the team this season, making two defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, and one sack.

The 26-year-old’s last NFL stint came as a member of the Carolina Panthers, dressing for one regular season game in 2022. He was previously a member of the Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, and Atlanta Falcons.

The native of Starkville, Miss. played 49 collegiate games at Mississippi State University, recording 100 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-7) will host the Edmonton Elks (2-7) on Saturday, Aug. 17 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
