The Toronto Argonauts say that safety Jermaine Gabriel has been released from hospital and is expected to make a full recovery after being carted off the field late in Thursday’s game between the Argos and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Gabirel collided with teammate Matt Black during a Brandon Banks punt return in the fourth quarter of Hamilton’s 42-20 win.
“Jermaine Gabriel is at home resting comfortably,” a statement from the club read. “Gabriel received precautionary treatment on the field by the Argonauts’ medical staff which was followed by treatment and tests at a local hospital. Gabriel has been cleared from any major injuries.”
