Demerio Houston missed practice with the Calgary Stampeders for the second consecutive day due to an ankle injury.

The 27-year-old played 15 games for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2023 and led the CFL with seven interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown. He also racked up 50 defensive tackles and was named a CFL all-star for the first time in his career.

The five-foot-ten, 173-pound defender originally signed with Winnipeg ahead of the cancelled 2020 season. He has appeared in 33 career CFL games, making 100 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, and 11 interceptions.
