The Montreal Alouettes have released American offensive tackle Jazston Turnetine from the practice roster.

The six-foot-seven, 342-pound blocker went unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft. He attended rookie minicamp with the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars that same year, though he didn’t sign a contract with either club.

The native of Stockbridge, Ga. finished his collegiate career at Florida State where he started eight games in 2022. He was a member of the South Carolina Gamecocks the previous two years, appearing in 18 games and making 10 starts at left tackle.

Turnetine originally started his collegiate career at Hutchinson Community College (NJCAA) where he earned second-team All-America honours during his second year with the program.

The Montreal Alouettes (3-0) will visit the Toronto Argonauts (2-0) on Friday, June 28 with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT.
