The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have bolstered their receiving corps amid a rash of injuries, bringing back Ravi Alston.

The six-foot-three, 203-pound native of Lake Elsinore, Calif. joined the team midway through the 2023 season and made one start, though he didn’t record any statistics. He was released partway through training camp last month.

The 25-year-old made 27 catches for 398 yards and one touchdown at Montana State University in 2022, finishing as the team’s second-leading receiver. He previously played at St. John’s University.

Kenny Lawler remains on Winnipeg’s six-game injured list with a fractured arm, while Dalton Schoen and Keric Wheatfall left last week’s loss to the B.C. Lions with non-contact injuries and did not return. As of the publishing of this article, the team has yet to formally update the status of either player.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (0-3) will visit the Calgary Stampeders (1-1) on Saturday, June 29 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
