Ticats finalize first round of roster moves

The Ticats made the rest of their roster moves to get down to the 65 player roster limit (not including non-counters.)

International linebacker Troy Davis and defensive back Chase Minnifield have been released after suffering injuries while quarterback Jacory Harris, defensive back Demond Washington and Canadian defensive tackle Evan Gill have been placed on the six-game injured list.

I wrote about the implications of most of these injuries yesterday but the Ticats have lost their third-string quarterback, both starting corners and the guy who started camp as the starting middle linebacker.

The notable names sitting out today’s session: receiver Andy Fantuz, defensive tackle Ted Laurent, defensive back Cleshawn Page, centre Mike Filer (he’s out here but not doing team work.)
