Edmonton Elks’ receiver Kyran Moore will miss the entire 2024 season after suffering a torn ACL, he revealed in an announcement on social media.

“This is not how I imagined my season being this year, tore my other ACL,” wrote Moore. “I’m ready to attack this process again. We defeated it before, I guess they wanted the rematch! It’s all good though, I’m gonna win again in the end. See y’all in 2025.”

The 27-year-old native of Bessemer, Ala. set a new career-high with 69 catches last season, his first with the Elks, recording 743 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He previously suffered a torn ACL while playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2021.

The five-foot-ten, 165-pound deep threat has caught 279 passes for 3,094 yards and 14 touchdowns over 64 career CFL games as a member of the Riders and Elks.

The injury occurred in practice before Edmonton’s season-opening loss to Saskatchewan and he’s been placed on the six-game injured list. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Malik Flowers, who caught one pass for 14 yards in his CFL debut.

The Edmonton Elks (0-1) will host the Montreal Alouettes (1-0) at Commonwealth Stadium on Friday, June 14 with kickoff slated for 9:00 p.m. EDT.
