Stampeders sign national OL Cam Thorn

Canadian offensive lineman Cam Thorn has signed with Calgary, per CFL sources.

The Stampeders inked the 26-year-old after he was released by B.C. before training camps opened across the league. During two seasons on the Left Coast, the six-foot-five, 290 pounder played in 36 games.

Thorn was selected in the seventh round, 58th overall by the Lions in the 2013 Canadian draft. He returned to the University of Guelph for his final year of eligibility that year, moving from defensive tackle to offensive line and earned CIS All-Canadian honours at guard.
