The Edmonton Elks have released five American players, including receiver Danny Davis, offensive lineman T.J. Storment, defensive linemen Keyshon Camp and Emeke Egbule, and defensive back Don Olumba.

Olumba played two games for the Elks in 2022, starting both at field-side halfback. He recorded one interception in the club’s regular-season finale against the B.C. Lions but was placed on the retired list early last year after reportedly suffering a torn pectoral muscle.

The Portland State product spent three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys after going unselected in the 2018 NFL Draft. He also had stints with the Cleveland Browns, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The Elks have also placed Canadian offensive lineman Evan Anseeuw, the team’s seventh-round pick in the 2024 CFL Draft out of York University, on the retired list.

CFL teams were required to shorten their rosters to 75 players plus non-counters as of Wednesday morning.
