Ottawa Redblacks release Liberty standout Skyler Thomas

The Ottawa Redblacks have released American defensive back Skyler Thomas.

The five-foot-nine, 184-pound native of Whittier, Calif. finished his collegiate career at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. in 2021 where he recorded 55 total tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, three pass knockdowns, and one forced fumble over 13 games.

The 26-year-old previously played at Washington State University where he made 152 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, four pass knockdowns, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble over four seasons.

The Redblacks have a bye during the first week of the 2024 regular season before hosting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Thursday, June 13 at TD Place Stadium.
