Edmonton Elks sign former Miami Dolphins’ DL Randy Charlton

The Edmonton Elks have signed American defensive lineman Randy Charlton.

The six-foot-three, 270-pound defender signed with the Miami Dolphins after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft and recording one tackle, one sack, and one pass knockdown during the preseason. He was released at the conclusion of training camp.

The native of Miami, Fla. played his final two seasons of collegiate football at Mississippi State University, making 71 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and two forced fumbles over 25 games. He previously played at the University of Central Florida.

The Elks will open their 2024 regular season by hosting the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday, June 8.
