Edmonton Elks sign six-foot-seven DL Jeremiah Jackson-Trotter

The Edmonton Elks have signed American defensive lineman Jeremiah Jackson-Trotter.

The six-foot-seven, 240-pound defender spent this past season at Davenport University, a Division II program located in Grand Rapids, Mich., and made 37 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, and three pass knockdowns over 10 games. He was named All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) honourable mention.

The 24-year-old native of Las Vegas, Nev. played at Fort Hays State University in 2022 where he led the team with 12 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks over nine games with the Tigers. He previously played at East Los Angeles College from 2019 to 2021.

The Elks will open their 2024 regular season by hosting the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday, June 8.
