The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive back Marcus Murphy.

The six-foot-one, 200-pound cover man signed with the Atlanta Falcons after going unselected in the 2021 NFL Draft, though he didn’t see any regular season action. He played for the Orlando Guardians of the XFL in 2023, recording 25 tackles, two pass deflections, and one interception.

The native of West Point, Miss. played 22 collegiate games at Mississippi State University, recording 66 total tackles, three tackles for loss, two interceptions, and five pass deflections.
