The Toronto Argonauts have signed long-time Saskatchewan Roughriders fullback Albert Awachie for the 2024 season.
The 31-year-old played in 14 games for the Riders last season, recording three catches for 24 yards and adding a special teams tackle. He now returns to his hometown for the next chapter in his career.
The six-foot-three, 262-pound H-back originally joined the Riders in 2017 as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Toronto. He has posted 10 catches for 74 yards and 15 special teams tackles in 67 career games.
The Argos begin the 2024 season on Sunday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. ET when they host the B.C. Lions.
