B.C. Lions sign former NFL pass-rusher Tipa Galeai

The B.C. Lions have signed former NFL defensive lineman Tipa Galeai.

The six-foot-five, 228-pound defender spent three seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2020 to 2022, making 16 total tackles and one sack over 13 games. He originally joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of Utah State.

The native of Euless, Texas spent the final two seasons of his collegiate career with the Aggies, recording 119 total tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, five pass knockdowns, three forced fumbles, and two interceptions over 25 games. He was named All-Mountain West in back-to-back seasons.

According to the Lions, the pronunciation of Galeai’s name is “Tee-puh Nah-lay-eye.”
