Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-sign Canadian LB Tanner Cadwallader

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with Canadian linebacker Tanner Cadwallader, tying him to the team through 2025.

The five-foot-eleven, 214-pound defender made two defensive tackles and 16 special teams tackles over 18 regular season games in 2023.

The native of Georgetown, Ont. was selected in the seventh round of the 2020 CFL Draft out of Wilfrid Laurier University. He has played in 50 regular season games with Winnipeg since and made four defensive tackles, 38 special teams tackles, and one forced fumble.

The 26-year-old was slated to become a free agent in February 2024.
