The Edmonton Elks have signed Canadian offensive lineman Phillip Grohovac.
The six-foot-four, 305-pound blocker was a third-round pick in the 2023 CFL Draft out of Western University. He played 11 games for the Elks this past season, making one start at left guard. He finished the season on the practice roster, making him a free agent.
The 23-year-old recorded 26 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press at the 2023 CFL Combine, finishing first among all participants.
The native of Victoria, B.C. played 23 collegiate games, helping the Mustangs win a Vanier Cup in 2021.
