The Canadian Football League has disciplined two players for tourist hits in Week 18, including Saskatchewan Roughriders’ defensive back Jayden Dalke.
Dalke was fined for a hit on Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ receiver Kiondre Smith, who was deemed to be an unsuspecting player. The 27-year-old Canadian led his team with seven tackles and a fumble recovery in the loss.
Originally selected in the sixth round of the 2022 CFL Draft out of the University of Alberta, Dalke has established himself as an impact starter in his second season. In 12 appearances this year, he has 34 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, two forced fumbles, and one interception.
