Ticats promote Eric Tillman to general manager

Eric Tillman has been named general manager of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Tillman was promoted by Kent Austin, who remains vice-president of football operations and head coach of the team. Austin has also added assistant general manager titles to director of Canadian scouting Drew Allemang and director of football operations Shawn Burke.

“Eric has a wealth of experience and knowledge with respect to the game of football and the Canadian Football League, and has been a great resource for us the past three seasons,” Austin said in statement. “He will now be based out of our Hamilton office and we felt the need to better define his role with the club as his involvement increases moving forward.”

Tillman has served as a general manager with five previous CFL teams, most recently in the Edmonton Eskimos from 2010 to 2012 and has a combined record of 128-103-2 with a .554 winning percentage.
