The Canadian Football League has disciplined a pair of Saskatchewan Roughriders for their actions in Week 11.

Linebacker T.J. Brunson will be lighter in the pocket following his first career CFL game, receiving a fine for a hellacious high hit on B.C. Lions’ returner Terry Williams. He was credited with one special teams tackle on the evening, while also forcing a fumble.

Defensive lineman Anthony Lanier II has also been fined for late and unnecessary contact on Lions’ quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. He finished the game with one tackle, a sack, and a fumble recovery.

Joining the two Riders in the league dog house is Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ defensive back Javien Elliott, who was fined for a high hit on Edmonton Elks’ receiver Dillon Mitchell.

As per league policy, the amounts of the fines were not disclosed. The maximum possible fine under the league’s collective bargaining agreement is equal to one-half of a player’s game cheque.
