Edmonton Elks sign two kids to one-day contracts through Dream Experience program

The Edmonton Elks have made two key additions to their organization through the Kids with Cancer Society’s Dream Experience program.

Anton Massini, 11, and Mayer Tiggelaar, 10, have been signed to one-day contracts with the team. They will receive personalized jerseys, tour the team’s locker room, attend practice at Commonwealth Stadium, and meet media following practice on Monday.

“We are very pleased to welcome Anton and Mayer to the Elks organization,” said assistant general manager Geroy Simon in a statement. “We know they will have a powerful impact on our club and we look forward to providing them a memorable experience.”

The Kids with Cancer Society provides free services to children and families from Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Massini and Tiggelaar are currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia.

“The Kids with Cancer society is so grateful for the continued support of the Edmonton Elks and dedication to the children and families we serve,” said CEO Chelsea Draeger Hughes. “This dream experience with create magical memories for the children participating.”
