Former Ticats defensive tackle Brian Bulcke has signed with the Toronto Argonauts, per CFL sources.
The 28-year-old is coming off a pair of injury-plagued seasons: he tore his bicep in Sept. 2014, missing the team’s second Grey Cup run, then suffered a knee injury in training camp the following spring and missed all of 2015.
He played in 28 games over three seasons in Hamilton, making 42 tackles.

The Ticats, who have started a Canadian at defensive tackle the last several seasons, made a bid to re-sign Bulcke but ultimately lost out to their division rivals. They recently signed all-star Ted Laurent and have former draft picks Linden Gaydosh and Evan Gill – but coming off serious injuries of their own, to back him up.
The team also re-signed Canadian Mike Atkinson to a two-year deal on Thursday.
The news of Bulcke’s signing was first reported by 3DownNation’s Justin Dunk.
