The Chicago Bears have signed a short-lived member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, inking linebacker Barrington Wade to their 90-man roster.

The six-foot-one, 232-pound defender went unselected in the 2021 NFL Draft but signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. He was waived during training camp but signed the Denver Broncos and played four regular season games, recording one tackle. He signed back with the Broncos on a reserve/future contract for 2022 but was waived before the start of the regular season.

The native of Skokie, Ill. signed with the Blue Bombers in May 2023 and started the team’s first preseason game at middle linebacker, recording five tackles against the Edmonton Elks. He was cut at the end of training camp.
