Ottawa Redblacks bring back Canadian offensive lineman Eric Starczala

The Ottawa Redblacks have brought back Canadian offensive lineman Eric Starczala after releasing him from their practice roster last week.

The six-foot-five, 315-pound blocker was a seventh-round pick of the Toronto Argonauts in the 2019 CFL Draft out of the University of Guelph. He returned to the Gryphons for his final year of U Sports eligibility.

The 26-year-old joined the Redblacks as a free agent in January 2022 and spent most of the season on the practice roster. He was released from the practice roster last week before being brought back on Wednesday.

The Redblacks also announced the release of American running back Ryquell Armstead.
