The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Canadian offensive lineman Jakub Szott.

The six-foot-four, 299-pound blocker was recently released by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after dressing in a depth role for the club’s first three games of the 2023 season.

The 24-year-old was a fourth-round pick of the Ottawa Redblacks in the 2020 CFL Draft. He started 12 games as a rookie at left guard in 2021 before spending most of the 2022 season on the team’s practice roster before being released and joining the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes.
