The Calgary Stampeders have signed American defensive back Chris Brown.
The five-foot-eleven, 187-pound cover man recorded 108 total tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, three interceptions, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and 12 knockdowns over 44 games at the University of Texas.
The native of Houston was named second-team all-Big 12 as a senior after making 47 tackles, tackles for loss, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and seven knockdowns in nine games. He was also a team captain in his senior season with the Longhorns.
Brown is cousins with Kelvin Anderson, a Canadian Football Hall of Fame running back who played with the Stampeders from 1996 to 2002.
