The Montreal Alouettes have signed Canadian offensive lineman Justin Lawrence to a two-year contract.
The six-foot, 300-pound blocker was named an East Division all-star at centre this past season as a member of the Toronto Argonauts. He started 17 regular season games along with the East Final and Grey Cup, helping the club capture a CFL title with a win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.
The 26-year-old was a fifth-round pick of the Calgary Stampeders in the 2018 CFL Draft out of the University of Alberta. He dressed for 31 games over three seasons with the team, winning a Grey Cup as a rookie in 2018.
