Saskatchewan Roughriders sign Ball State standout Christian Albright

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American defensive lineman Christian Albright, the team announced on Monday.

The six-foot-two, 240-pound defender went unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft but signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. He went to training camp with the team but was released.

The native of Kennesaw, Ga. played 57 games over five seasons at Ball State University from 2017 to 2021 with 48 starts. He recorded 260 tackles, 34.5 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, two interceptions, 13 knockdowns, nine forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.

Albright was named Second-Team All-MAC in 2020 as a senior and Third-Team All-MAC in 2018 as a sophomore.
