The Edmonton Elks have signed American running back Kevin Brown to a contract extension through the 2024 season.

The 26-year-old signed with the team as a free agent on Sept. 1 and quickly made an impact on the field, rushing 74 times for 486 yards and one touchdown and making 24 receptions for 176 yards. He finished second on the team in rushing behind quarterback Taylor Cornelius and ranked fifth on the team in receptions.

The Elks are currently on a bye this week after finishing their regular season schedule with a 4-14 record and missing the playoffs for a second straight year.
