The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have brought a familiar face back into the fold, signing Canadian defensive back Mike Daly.

The 32-year-old played seven seasons with the club (2014-2021) after being selected in the sixth round of the 2013 CFL Draft out of McMaster University. He made 101 defensive tackles, 49 special teams tackles, eight interceptions, two forced fumbles, one sack, and one touchdown over 91 career games with the team.

The six-foot-one, 190-pound defender became a free agent in February 2022 but went unsigned before transitioning to coaching.

He has also appeared on the Ticats Audio Network and co-hosted Tiger-Cats Game Day alongside Courtney Stephen, a former teammate and fellow defensive back.

The Ticats (7-10) clinched a berth in the postseason this past week and visit the Montreal Alouettes (8-9) in the East Semi-Final on Sunday, Nov. 6.
