The Saskatchewan Roughriders will have veteran centre Dan Clark back in the starting lineup for their clash with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday evening.

It will mark the first appearance for Clark since a devastating injury suffered in Week 2 against Edmonton when an errant hit from a defender down low broke his fibula. He was carted off the field in visible distress and later required surgery to repair some of the damage.

Clark has recovered from his injury in impressive time and will be a huge boost for an offensive line that has struggled since rookie Logan Bandy was forced to take over in the middle. The Riders have allowed a league-leading 59 sacks in 2022, 15 more than the next worst team.

A native of Regina, Clark has dressed for 127 games with his hometown Roughriders over an eleven-year career spanning ten seasons. The six-foot-two, 310-pound lineman was named a CFL all-star at centre in 2019 when the Riders posted a league-best 13-5 regular season record.

The Roughriders (6-8) are scheduled to kickoff against the Bombers (12-2) at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, September 30.
