The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American offensive lineman Brandon Kemp.

The 25-year-old signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and spent two seasons with the team, the first on the practice roster and the second on injured reserve. He signed with the Indianapolis Colts in April 2022 but was waived amid training camp.

Coincidentally, the six-foot-seven, 310-pound blocker was competing for a roster spot in Indianapolis with former Ticats’ offensive tackle Jordan Murray, who started eleven games for Hamilton in 2021. Murray ended up sticking with the Colts on the practice roster.

Kemp dressed for 43 games over five seasons at Valdosta State University (2015-19) and helped lead the Blazers to their fourth NCAA Division II national title in 2018.

The Ticats (4-9) are scheduled to visit the Montreal Alouettes (5-7) on Friday night for a game that has huge playoff implications in the East Division.
