The Edmonton Elks have released former NFL defensive lineman Jachai Polite.
The 25-year-old signed with the team on August 10 just one week after he was released by the Toronto Argonauts. He dressed for three games in a backup role with the Elks and recorded one defensive tackle.
The Florida native was selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the New York Jets but was waived later that summer. He also spent time on the Seattle Seahawks’ practice roster before joining the Los Angeles Rams and playing in 11 games in 2020, making four tackles and one sack.
