The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian receiver Mike Jones.

The 29-year-old played 18 games over two seasons as a member of the Edmonton Elks, recording 37 catches for 494 yards and two touchdowns. He started all seven games with the team at field-side wide receiver this season but was cut during the club’s recent bye week.

Hamilton originally selected the six-foot, 180-pound receiver in the third round of the 2016 CFL Draft out of Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. Jones played 58 games over his four seasons in Hamilton (2016-19), making 101 receptions for 1,472 yards and four touchdowns. He was a full-time starter with the team in 2019.
