Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ receiver Greg Ellingson (hip) and offensive lineman Patrick Neufeld (hip) missed practice on Tuesday, according to the team’s injury report.

Ellingson had an excellent performance in the team’s recent victory over the Calgary Stampeders, making 11 receptions for 152 yards. He has now recorded 34 catches for 518 yards and three touchdowns on the year and leads in the league in receptions and receiving yardage. The 33-year-old is also on pace for new career-highs in both categories.

Neufeld has started all six of the team’s games this season at right guard. He is part of an offensive line that has allowed 12 sacks this season (fifth league-wide) and led Winnipeg’s ball carriers to an average of 3.8 yards per rush (ninth league-wide). He was named a CFL all-star in 2021.

Running back Johnny Augustine also did not practice on Tuesday due to an ankle injury. The fourth-year player has recorded 32 carries for 145 yards and three catches for 31 yards this season in a depth role behind Brady Oliveira.

Starting left tackle Stanley Bryant also missed practice on Tuesday, though it was under a “resting veteran” designation. As such, he does not appear to be injured.

The Blue Bombers (6-0) are set to go on a three-game road trip starting with a game against the Edmonton Elks (2-4) at Commonwealth Stadium on Friday, July 22 at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
