B.C. Lions’ receiver Lucky Whitehead missed a second consecutive practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury.

The 30-year-old has made 20 receptions for 237 yards this season and sits ninth in receiving yardage league-wide despite playing only three games. He has also rushed once for three yards and returned six punts for 34 yards.

Whitehead reached stardom in B.C. in 2021 when he caught 60 passes for 932 yards and four touchdowns. He played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019, though he was forced to leave his first game against his former team last year after he suffered a broken hand.
