Montreal Alouettes’ centre Sean Jamieson will miss the foreseeable future after sustaining a knee injury in Week 3, according to TSN’s John Lu.

#AlsMTL C Sean Jamieson’s been placed on the 6-game with a right MCL injury with surgery not required. His MRI revealed the damage wasn’t as bad as feared (ACL) and the team is hoping he can return around the 6-8 week mark of his recovery.

The Winnipeg native was injured late in the fourth quarter of the club’s 37-13 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was replaced by Western product David Brown, who also took over from Jamieson at centre when he missed games due to injury in 2021.

Montreal’s offensive line has allowed eight sacks through three games this season while opening holes for Jeshrun Antwi, the league’s leading rusher. Reigning CFL all-star running back William Stanback suffered a serious ankle injury in Week 1 and has since undergone surgery. It is unclear if he will return before the end of the season.
