The Canadian Football League has fined two members of the Montreal Alouettes following their game against the Toronto Argonauts in Week 2.

Linebacker Tre Watson was fined for unnecessary roughness on offensive lineman Dejon Allen, while defensive lineman Mike Moore was fined for a high hit on quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson.

Watson is in his second season with the Als following a stint in the XFL in 2020. He recorded seven defensive tackles and seven special teams tackles over eight games in 2021, making one start at middle linebacker. He is now the club’s full-time starter at middle linebacker and has made eight tackles through two games this season.

As per league policy, the amounts of the fines were not disclosed.
