The CFL fined three players following the first week of the 2022 regular season.

“News to me can you let me know how much it is!” tweeted Lawrence regarding the fine shortly after it was announced.

Fajardo indicated after the game on Saturday that he was dealing with a “little bit of an injury” following the hit, though he specified that it did not include his head. The veteran quarterback was a full participant in practice on Wednesday.

The other two players who were fined are Calgary Stampeders’ defensive back Raheem Wilson and Ottawa Redblacks’ defensive back Sherrod Baltimore.

Wilson’s fine came as a result of a high hit on Montreal Alouettes’ running back Jeshrun Antwi, while Baltimore’s fine was due to a high hit on Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ receiver Dalton Schoen.

The league does not disclose the amounts of player fines.
