The Calgary Stampeders have brought back American defensive back Darius Williams for a third stint with the club.

Williams participated in Calgary’s 2022 training camp and played in both pre-season games, recording an interception in the Stamps’ win over the Edmonton Elks. He was released as part of final roster cuts last week.

He originally signed with the Stampeders on Feb. 13, 2020, but was released on Feb. 8, 2021. Williams went on to play for the Sea Lions of The Spring League in 2021, before rejoining the Stampeders. He began his professional career as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints in 2019.
