The Montreal Alouettes have released receiver Quan Bray as part of the CFL’s mandatory roster cutdowns.

The five-foot-ten, 185-pound target had an impressive rookie season with the Alouettes in 2019, catching 58 passes for 818 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games. In his follow-up campaign, Bray suited up for 12 games, posting 35 receptions for 481 yards and two touchdowns in 2021.

The 29-year-old nearly missed the 2021 season after Bray was arrested in February 2020 for transporting 157 pounds of marijuana alongside Auburn University teammate Greg Robinson. One of the charges against him was dropped, while he pleaded guilty to the other and was required to pay a fine.

The Lagrange, GA native also suited up for the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) in 2019.
