The Calgary Stampeders have placed Canadian linebacker and Canadian offensive lineman Jacob Butler on the club’s retired list.
Gray appeared in three games with the Stamps during the 2021 season and recorded two special-teams tackles. The former fourth-round pick was proficient at strong-side linebacker and safety with the Waterloo Warriors, recording 208 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, two interceptions, and one forced fumble over 32 games.
Butler was Calgary’s fourth-round pick in the 2022 CFL Draft who was a four-time academic all-Canadian in engineering at Queen’s University. He participated in the club’s recent rookie camp.
