The Ottawa Redblacks have signed the team’s 2021 first-round CFL Draft pick, linebacker Deshawn Stevens.
The 24-year-old was selected sixth overall by the Redblacks last year.
The Toronto native was coming off a season with the University of Maine that saw him record up 36 tackles, including 13 unassisted, in a shortened four-game season. Stevens transferred to West Virginia University for his final NCAA season and recorded 12 tackles through 10 games.
