The Toronto Argonauts have signed American defensive lineman Kendall Futrell, the team announced on Monday.
The 24-year-old spent time with the B.C. Lions in 2021 after stints with the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans in 2020.
The six-foot-two, 225-pound native of Winterville, N.C. played four seasons at East Carolina University where he made 67 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, four forced fumbles and was named Second Team All-AAC after his senior season.
Toronto also released ratio-breaking offensive tackle Jamal Campbell following five seasons with the team. As per 3DownNation‘s John Hodge, the 28-year-old was due an off-season roster bonus on Tuesday.
