The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed national wide receiver Wesley Lewis.
The six-foot-five, 218-pound target was selected by the Ottawa Redblacks in the fifth round, 45th overall, in the 2019 CFL Draft. Over two seasons in Ottawa, he played 11 games and made three catches for 33 yards.
Lewis played five games in his senior college season at Angelo State. He made 13 receptions for 191 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 14.7 yards per catch.

Prior to that he attended Houston Baptist University in Texas. He suited up for 26 games over that time and recorded 54 catches for 664 yards and five touchdowns, including a team-leading three touchdowns as a redshirt freshman.
Lewis joins a group of Canadian receivers in Riderville that already includes 2021 breakout star Kian Schaffer-Baker, local product Mitch Picton, former first-round pick Justin McInnis, veteran slotback Jake Harty, and Virginia product Terrell Jana.
