Canadian receiver Hergy Mayala has signed with the Montreal Alouettes, per source.

The six-foot-one, 208-pound target was selected in the first round of the 2019 CFL Draft by the Calgary Stampeders. He had an excellent rookie season, recording 38 receptions for 562 yards and five touchdowns over 16 games, five of which he started.

The 26-year-old’s production declined in 2021 when he made 29 catches for 284 yards. He spent the entire season at field-side wide receiver, though his skillset may be better-suited for the slotback position.
