Redblacks release DB Brandin Dandridge to pursue NFL opportunity, signs with Kansas City Chiefs

The Ottawa Redblacks have released American defensive back Brandin Dandridge to pursue an NFL opportunity.

The five-foot-11, 193-pound cover man worked out for the Chiefs on Friday, February 4 and Dandridge has signed with Kansas City according to 3DownNation insider Justin Dunk.

Dandridge played parts of two CFL seasons with the Redblacks, coming on strong in eight regular season games in 2021. The Lee’s Summit, Missouri native had four interceptions and 11 defensive tackles last year. The 25-year-old has played 12 games in the nation’s capital making 23 tackles and four interceptions.

He played four seasons and 45 games at Missouri Western State University from 2015 to 2018. Dandridge recorded 131 tackles, 39 pass knockdowns, 11 interceptions, recovered four fumbles and forced one fumble for the Griffons.

Dandridge attended the Chiefs local pro day in 2019, but he did not physically participate due to a knee injury suffered during his senior season.
